WHAT'S YOUR SAY

THIS IS JUST MY THOUGHT'S BUT I THINK Weight Belt's SHOULD BE OUTLAWED as the are a danger and uncomfortable as you see loads newbie divers filling up there belts till bursting point and half the time when they get out of the water the belts are falling down if they haven't dropped or dumped them in the water :?: :?:

my beaver Weight Harness Imageis one of the best bits of scuba kit i've got and i will never wear Weight Belt again

Do it right , get a twin set and dump all the weight onto that, thus no belt needed!!

I'll second that, used to have a bit of back pain, even with a harness. Since going over to twins have no probs at all and they're probly heavier!

An they look cooler 8-)

Remember the 3 most important Laws of diving:

1) Look Cool!

2) If everything goes th rat sh*t, Look Cool!

3) In the event that laws 1+2 don't apply, Look Cool!

:D

I've heard PADI are writing a "How to look cool whilst diving" speciality. Only trouble is none of their instructors will be able to teach it!!

i wear both .... harness for single /bcd and belt for twin/cd harness. why? weight harness more comfy with bcd and belt more comfy with twin harness.
both have their good and bad points, eg. belt easier to dump in a hurry whereas harness more fiddly for user and buddy (my take anyway). i'll be wearing the weight harness on saturday so anyone can make comments good or bad, if they are interested!
any thoughts on bulging weight-integrated pockets that i see often? how many of them are easy to drop in a hurry by user or buddy, and do they drop out themselves ever due to overstuffing them with lead? i do pop some weight in my bcd weight pockets as i find this approach makes the bcd more stable, particularly on the surface or if using a pony, only a kg or two though!
weighty issues indeed!
