In the event of a medical emergency when diving, it is crucial that the casualty is diagnosed quickly and accurately.

A correct diagnosis is more likely if any pre-existing conditions are known and if the casualty's medical information is readily available to paramedics. So, MediSmart has developed DiveSmart, the diving equivalent of putting your pet's name and address inside a small barrel and attaching it to Fido's collar. Printed on waterproof paper and sealed in an aluminium canister that can be clipped to your BC, your medical information is kept safe and accessible for when it may be needed. A flexible PVC sticker can be glued to either your drysuit or BC, making it clear to your buddies, dive marshals and emergency rescue crew that you are carrying the canister. The kit also contains glue to attach the sticker, a water-resistant-ink pen and full instructions.

I dont take my pet diving!!!! (unless you count staff as my pet)

Load of junk at the end of the day if you none responcive they will get you out of your kit asap and not look at it untill they put it on ebay!! (toad rule number 2)

This is one of those thing they sell to OW students because they are not dive savy and wont say not to the shops.
